It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and I apologize. I’ve been getting pretty busy with the whole “one year to graduation” thing and the “I need a second job” thing and the “I’m drowning in tears and school work this semester” thing. I’m trying to stay on top of it all, and hopefully I won’t go on that long of an absence from this unless I’m off doing cool stuff (hint: I haven’t done anything cool lately). I’ve been working and drinking copious amounts of coffee to stay sane through it all. But a lot of good planning has been happening, so that’s something, right?
Today’s post will be short and sweet (due to the homework I’ve got on my plate today…HOLLA), and I’m hoping for a little interaction from you all. So listen up. Put your thinking cap on and get ready.
So this summer I’ve got some good things up my sleeve. Due to the fact that I am a bigger fan of winter than summer, we just haven’t really had one here in Reno, so might as well just bring on the sunscreen and sandals, right? (sobs) Aside from the internship I’m hoping (and required) to have to graduate, I’m planning some pretty awesome trips. But I do need a little input.
Here are some of the plans I’m in the process of planning.
Trip to Napa or Sonoma for my 21st. This will be happening in August, which is prime time to go. However, I’m torn as to which one I want to go to. I’m all about that wine-drinking lifestyle, but I’m hoping for some other cool things to do aside from that. And by cool, I mean like once-in-a-lifetime, who-knew-this-was-here kind of thing. So if you have any good ideas or opinion as to which I should go to….let me know.
Hiking in Yellowstone. That’s right. I’m pretty stoked on this, since it’s been almost about 10 years since I last went (makes me sound older than I actually am). I think I’m going in mid- to late-May. This is going to be wonderful and I’m way too out of shape to be hiking for a week but BRING IT ON. If you know of any good hikes, again, let me know.
Burning Man. Finally. I’m not 100% on whether or not I’m going. I have a ticket, but I’m torn. The problem with this one is that the festival occurs on the first week of school, which might be a problem, especially due to the fact I’m trying to graduate by May 2016. I’m torn. I’m not sure yet. Help.
Canada. I actually really really really want to do this. The Women’s World Cup is taking place in Canada this year, and I’m really debating buying myself a few tickets and taking a trip up yonder. I’ve never been to Canada, but I know it’s beautiful and I know it would be wonderful. If I don’t do Burning Man, then I’ll go to Canada. Seems fair, right?
Anyway, I’d appreciate any input. Or new ideas. Go on. Please.
Okay, love you, bye.
